What is left after the garden work?

This page is for the material left after a garden has been cut back, emptied or cleared. That can be green waste, bagged garden waste, old furniture, timber or a mixed pile. The useful first step is to photograph everything together so the quote is based on the actual load rather than a description that leaves half of it out.

The collection covers taking waste away after the work; arrange cutting back, digging or landscaping separately. If a gardener is doing the work, check whether removal is already included in their quote before booking another collection. Keep any furniture or timber you want collected visible alongside the green waste.

Green waste and mixed garden loads

Grass cuttings, leaves and plant trimmings are a different material stream from broken furniture or fencing. Keep those categories separate where practical so the contents can be checked. Do not hide pots, wire, paint tins or other items inside bags of green waste. Say whether bags contain only plant material or something else as well.

Furniture, timber and metal can be discussed as part of the same collection. A garden at the end of a long path, behind a locked gate or down steps needs different access arrangements from a pile beside the drive. Mention the gate width, steps and where the vehicle could stop; you do not need to move a heavy load first just to make a quote possible.

Do not assume that every material from a garden project can go in the tipper. Heavy soil, rubble, treated timber and unusual building materials need to be identified before a collection is agreed. Paint, chemicals, oils, fuel, gas bottles and asbestos are refused materials. The general rubbish-removal page lists the wider accepted and refused categories, and the shed-clearance service explains the separate issue of old shed or outbuilding contents.

One-off collection or part load

You do not need to wait until a whole garden is empty. A smaller pile can be assessed on its own, or included with furniture and other accepted items when the full load is shown. If the garden is being cleared in stages, send the photographs for the material ready now and explain what may follow later. That lets EasyPro discuss the current collection without promising a size or price from a guess.

What to include in the photo quote

Send one wide photograph of the full pile if possible, then a second photograph showing the route from the garden to where the vehicle can stop. Add the postcode, approximate number of bags or bulky pieces, and any deadline. Mention anything you intend to keep before the collection is priced, and separate it clearly from what is going.

EasyPro is based in Harleston and works roughly forty miles around Diss, across the stated Norfolk and Suffolk coverage area. The postcode lets us check the route and availability. Confirm the scope and price before booking, and send an update if the pile grows or different materials are added.

When a council garden bin may suit better

For regular, smaller amounts of plant waste, check your council’s garden-bin service before paying for a one-off private collection. For example, Norwich City Council’s garden-waste service provides scheduled collections of accepted loose garden material. Its current rules explain what belongs in the bin; a mixed pile of furniture, fencing and green waste is a different collection to arrange.

Home composting or a household recycling centre may also suit some loads. Check the current material, vehicle and booking rules for your council first, especially if a contractor produced the waste. A one-off EasyPro quote is useful when the material is ready to leave, you need the carrying included, or several accepted waste types need collecting together.

Show the whole garden load

Photograph the green waste, furniture and timber together, then show the access route. If you are unsure about a material, identify it in the message rather than leaving it out of the picture. Send the photos to EasyPro for a collection quote.

Frequently asked questions

Can you collect garden waste from a one-off clear-out?

Yes, garden and green waste are accepted. Send a photograph of the whole load and the route from it to the vehicle so the collection can be assessed and priced before booking.

Can garden furniture or timber go with the green waste?

Furniture and timber can be part of an accepted load, but show every material in the photographs. Do not assume that treated timber, heavy soil or rubble is included; ask about anything unusual before agreeing the collection.

Do you do the gardening, pruning or landscaping as well?

This service covers taking waste away after the work. Arrange any gardening, pruning or landscaping separately, then send a photo of what needs collecting so EasyPro can confirm the materials and access.

What garden materials cannot be collected?

Asbestos, paint, chemicals, oils, fuel, pressurised gas containers and clinical or hazardous waste are not accepted. If a load contains something outside the usual garden waste, identify it before a price is agreed.

Text or WhatsApp a picture of what needs clearing and you will get a figure for the load — not an hourly rate and a guess. Most jobs around Diss are same day or next day.
